Rusty is a Rusty Spotted Cat, the world’s smallest cat and a species classified as 'Near Threatened' by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature' (IUCN). It is threatened by habitat loss in its native Sri Lanka, and by humans who kill it after mistaking it for a baby leopard.
